QUEENS OF EGYPT currently reign at the National Geographic Museum in Washington, DC.

This immersive exhibition explores the women of the New Kingdom through the last queen, and pharoah, Cleopatra VII highlighting 1,400 years of the women of Egypt with new historical revelations from National Geographic Explorers. With over 300 artifacts from renowned Museo Egizio in Turin, Italy, this extraordinary collection includes maps, images, and a virtual journey through Queen Nefertari’s tomb. Never has an intact tomb  of a royal woman been located until now, and though it was looted for it’s precious antiquities, its known to be one of the most intricate ever discovered in Egypt.

Additional contribution come from collections at the Pointe-á-Calliére Museum in Montreal, the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden, Musées Royaux d’Art et d’Histoire in Brussels, and Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Supporters include the Italian Embassy and the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, DC and the Kimpton Hotels.
