DCTRENDING explores art and culture through social engagement in the nation's capital. Our content reflects DC's diverse, abundant, and creative communities. Our platform showcases authentic stories of artistic expression, cultural movements, activism, vocation, and cultural exchange. Our local stories, rooted firmly in the nation's capital, reveal insights about our interconnected, global culture and examine all the ways creativity inspires our community forging paths to social good, and unity.
DCTRENDING’s content reflects the larger, societal story of those who create for the District’s finest art institutions, museums, galleries and theaters. Our reviews, interviews, profiles, and feature-length articles are a rendering of this diverse, culturally-abundant city, and its obsessively creative communities.
Pitches should have a local DC metro area angle. We accept pitches for interviews, reviews, profiles, stories, features, non-fiction articles and author/book reviews.
Are you interested in taking an assignment to promote the work of an emerging artist? If so, we will provide you with press access to DC’s notable art and museum exhibitions, art fairs, theater performances, and Embassy cultural affairs, as well as, entrée to leading artists and creatives.
Submissions should be between 750 to 1,500 word count.
